About Candice

It takes so much courage and support to sit with the wounds of the inner child. But from my personal experience, I believe we have to do it, if we want to be able to act from our full-grown adult wisdom, and if we want to really access our childlike joy.

It’s my total honor to support my clients as they go inward to become more whole for themselves and their loved ones.

I opened Beautiful Life Coaching with Candice Somay in 2021 in honor of:

  • My personal healing journey - which is all the more worthwhile as it benefits the healing of others

  • My mother, Kathi -  whose orchid babies can be seen throughout our brand and marketing materials

  • My grandmother Somay - whose very apropos name means “long beautiful life”

  • My great-grandmother Lin - who, from the spirit realm, has guided and blessed my journey to step up and serve as a healer, just as my great-grandma served as a midwife

Through this sacred business, I help people connect with who they truly are and with the magic in their heart.

My approach as an astrologer, energy worker, and coach comes from a very personal place that centers on inner child healing and ancestral healing. When I was 18 years old, with the firm and loving support of my dad, I decided I wanted to live, rather than continue to collude with systems of 0ppr3ss!on in the destruction of my own life. At that point, I began to open myself to a relationship with the spirit realm, God/Spirit, nature and the elements. As I did so, I also was privileged to become educated about the ways in which my personal wounds and traumas were a direct result of said systems of 0ppr3ss!on.

Over the last 17 years of studying and practicing spiritual and healing traditions, time and time again, ancestral tools and technologies have shown up on my path in what has often felt like moments of magic— I know these tools are gifts from my ancestors. I re-learn my ancestral ways by listening and trying and fumbling and making mistakes and always continuing, bolstered by love and stubbornness.

I now know that as I heal myself, I also help my ancestors heal, and those around me, as little by little we undo these harmful systems. So for me, healing is and has always been not only psychological and personal, but also spiritual, material, and connected to the collective/all life on earth.

I love to work with people who are also passionate about their personal healing and the ripple effects it has on others. I am honored to help people know themselves more deeply, and to be empowered to take actions that help to heal this world.

I am eternally grateful to all of my teachers and mentors listed below, and beyond.
